What do you guys think of Audible?

This is the second book I've listened to from there, the first one was from years ago and it was dulllllllll.... This one isn't horrible, but I get annoyed by the smacking of this dudes lips. It's annoying the shit out of me. I might have to add some sort of bullshit ambient music in the background just to finish this. It's sooo bad. His voice is good, but I can't stand this smacking shit, clearing the spit from his mouth or whatever. OMG I WANT TO KILL SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THIS! :lol

Did I mention it's pissing me off? :lol it's a good book! but damn.

well, share your good or bad experience.

(I decided to play winamp and use music from The Witcher to cover some of his smacking. ugh)

i used them for free during one of their promotional campaigns, and the book was ok, but i didn't like the DRM stuff and the prices were a bit much.

i found i can get excellent readings for free from project gutenburg on some books.

check out their rendition of The King in Yellow.

there are some that are just text to speech things which are horrid (as you can guess) but those are labled as such
