For me it depends on the type of racing game. I don't really bother playing any music with Gran Turismo, LFS or Forza since that's when I actually need to focus on the driving. For PGR, Burnout, Motorstorm, Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Outrun, etc. I usually have the custom soundtrack going in the background unless the game itself has good music. Like, Burnout games usually have crappy music, same with Motorstorm, but Wipeout and Outrun have good stuff.

Beezy and Swaggaz were neck and neck most of the time. Was surprised how you guys managed to be pushing each other back and forth non-stop.

Some of the matches were a little glitchy at times for me. Cars teleporting all around, lol. Between that and the skipping/slowdown at random times in single player I think this port could've used a little more QA. Still a great deal for $10 though.

The last race with 6 people was pretty bad for me, but the previous two races were smooth for the most part. One part I remember specifically was drifting into another car (I think Beezy in a yellow F50) for a good 4 seconds and it was like we were glued together.

I cannot get the hang of drifting for some reason. Every time I either slide along some grass or skid against a wall. I need more practice. Good games Beezy!

It took me a while to get the hang of it too, but I've been playing it since this morning.

When you're coming up on a turn let go of gas, quickly tap break, start the turn and then hold down on the gas again. This is what works for me.

Multiplayer is fun as hell. Luckily I haven't run into any glitches.

Argh, I'm never gonna get the achievement for time attack. My best time ever on any stage was 4 mins 41 secs and that was in an online race with tuned cars.

This game is SO GOOD. This is the first time I have played an Outrun game outside of an old arcade when I was a kid. I've spent nearly all my time on the very first route 'spergin and trying to improve my score and time trials.

I bought the PSP version of Crazy Taxi, thinking it would be utterly kickass, but I couldn't get into it. I can't get used to the control differences from other driving games, and I don't see any shortcuts. What am I missing? Do I just need to soldier through until I get a thorough understanding of maps and landmarks?

I just gear down once and then gear up immediately to turn. I lose way less speed than I do driving automatic by doing this. You don't need to brake at all. Also, pick a car with 5 gears instead of 6 to give yourself less work. I use the F40. I really suck though on the last of the harder stages like Milky Way, so I use the brakes instead of gearing up/down to turn and I slow down if I need to avoid hitting the walls.

Besides that, just learn the stages and drift as little as possible/only when necessary. On the first stage I only drift on that really big turn where there's water and I don't start drifting until I'm about halfway through the turn.

I'm playing on normal. I can't finish races on higher difficulties yet.

Right now just completed A, B, and C. I have it on the very easy default and won't change it until I mastered manual transmission. I'm still driving in automatic to get a feel of the game.

got a couple of questions I was wondering if could help me with....

firstly do you know if the different cars have different stats and stuff? Nothings on the screen and I remember Outrun C2C had differing stats for the cars like accel., handling, etc.

and whats the best strategy for the million points? I can only manage 800k or so. I notice that sometimes when you pass a rival car you get a mean 50000 points, but only sometimes. Do you know how this works?
