Friday Night Lights crack run (Season 1)
« on: April 12, 2009, 12:28:24 AM »
So The Wire didn't really grow on me, though it's really gud, so i blazed through Battlestar Galactica which was awesome, specially since i hate all the Star Trek like shit.

So it was between this and Skins, for the new fix, a concentrated dose of teenage drama, which i haven't had in a while, people talk O.C this and that, and i think that's all a bunch of home shite, but goddamn. I started with episode 1, two days ago, and i just finished S01 like 10 min ago.

This shit is awesome, really well written, directed, even acted, though the Gambit dude can't act for shit, but the guy looks like a cross between the beast from beauty and the beast and fucking brad pitt or some shit, so i guess all he had to do was show up.

And damn, the blond chick, Tyra, she has that trailer park white trash going for her, but damn, i don't know, i just find her super hot. Anyway, good shit.

Peter Berg is the man.

I watched the first 3 eps of The Wire and I was mostly zzzzzzzzz.  I didn't hate it and it was certainly interesting, but it didn't hook me.  The following night I just watched 3 hours of mythbusters instead.

Degrassi: TNG > Skins > Friday Night Lights

But Degrassi has a shitload of episodes for you to catch up on, so you should've just chosen Skins.

Friday Night Lights isn't all that great but its depiction of friday night high school football fever in texas is all but accurate.

Just started this two days ago as well, although I'm nowhere near close to done with the first season (episode 6 right now). Awesome stuff, loving this a whole lot more than I thought I would.

all but accurate?  so it's not very accurate, then?
