Any holiday that gives my family an excuse to make stuffing is fine in my book

I just realized today: my family raised me jewish, i had a bar mitzvah, then I realized that it was my (christian) mom who was into making me jewish and that my (jewish) dad wasn't religious at all. Now I'm agnostic and my family only celebrates (i.e. gets together to eat/exchange gifts) Easter and Christmas. :jewsmug.gif

we had ham, potatoes, salad w/ a kick ass dressing, and red velvet cake for easter lunch

Had a traditional Easter dinner of stir fried veggies n' tofu with noodles in a ginger sauce. Fucking tasty.

Also have been snacking on a chocolate bunny that I impulse purchased yesterday when I was out. So far I've eaten the ears and head.

I made a lamb stew (lamb, potatoes, onion, red wine, thyme, garlic) and macaroni and cheese with crispy fried ham on top.

Also made steak and sausages for my mom and dad because they don't like lamb. $:-\$

I know how you feel. I'm super passionate about lamb in my cooking, but my parents won't eat it. Same for duck. I still find things to cook for them, but those are two of the most flavorful meats around and it seems every time I'm home to visit them it's hanger steaks (a favorite cut of mine) or chicken. $:-\$

Looks super tasty though.

Yeah, and if it wasn't for HomemadeMilk's (brother) newfound aquired taste for lamb (he used to hate it too) I'd be the only one eating the whole pot. It was WAY tasty!

Went out for dinner at a steakhouse with the fam... had a huge marinated NY strip steak, and a shitload of appetizers. It was really good, we go to this restaurant every year for easter.
