Wow, I've been making fun of people on Sherdog for expecting this game to be good, but that didn't look nearly as horrible as I was thinking. The commentary was pretty good. The submissions are probably pretty basic, though.

Yeah it's nowhere near as bad as I was expecting either. I'm expecting a Smackdown level game, which is fine by me. I just want to play some UFC

i figured there'd be no way they'd be able to get full moveset for everyone in there, but that doesn't look bad at all

the commentary is pretty fluid, but they missed a big knockdown moment early on

my friends are mma junkies, they rent just about every ppv available here (and bootleg the rest), i'll have to get them to watch this

Apparently it's awesome. Someone on athoer forum said they went to touch gloves at the start of the fight (by pressing right on the dpad) and Liddell sucker punched him

Gameplay has surprising depth, however i think Lidell is unbalanced, the guy has extreme knockout power, and is able to evade submission too easily.

Demo is awesome. I thought the game sucked from videos but was surprised to see how great the gameplay actually is.

Submissions are way too easy to get out of though. I guess it's because fights never last long enough. I read about people lasting 3 rounds.. how? If I am Chuck then Rua goes down like a bitch. If I am Rua then I can go maybe 1 1/2 rounds before Chuck annihilates me with a kick to the head.

Every time I play I find something new though. Just found out about the strike clinch or whatever, now I can throw uppercuts with Chuck and Tiger Knee's with Rua

This game is going to be so much better than I thought

My one real complaint is having to use the right stick for transitions/submissions on the ground; it's a little tedious at times, and it seems kinda unresponsive.

The demo was fun but made me realize how little I know about UFC. I had no idea what any of the grappling stuff was for, so I really just kicked the other guy in the head until he fell.
