no, that's just the monitor i picked because it was on sale for $100

besides, 1920x1080 is sort of overkill for something you're gonna be sitting 1.5 feet away from

Some of the perk names and descriptions are more humorous than what Bethesda thought up for 3. Also I've read that you can get kicked out of a Casino for being too good.

Quality writing has never been one of Bethesda's strong suits, although it was better in Fallout 3 than any of their previous games. On the other hand, Black Isle/Troika/Obsidian has always had some skills in that area.

Is this game using the same engine as Fallout 3?  Fallout 3 is pretty playable on my Mini 311 netbook.  It's got a single core ATOM that I can overclock to 1.9Ghz.    STEAM says the requirement is a dual core 2.0Ghz or better...

Bethesda games sell better on 360,so this is just a business decision.

Yeah, they love Microsoft so much they dropped GFWL support for the PC version of this one :lol

FO3 is around the top of my favorite games of all time, so I have to admit I'm a little irritated/disappointed, but even missing that DLC it'll still be the better experience on PC (even if your rig is a few years old)

with G.E.C.K. support built in, modders will be all over this shit day one to iron out any bugs or glitches and enhance the game with tweaks

The thing about DLC, for me, is that its always been about the gear and extras you get. I didn't really care for any of the scenarios in the FO3 DLC's with maybe the exception to The Pitt. But Zeta, Broken Steel, Anchorage and Lookout all were kinda blah.

The bulk of my enjoyment came from starting out small time and getting stronger level wise and gear wise and in that sense the main game is enough for me.

More technical problems than Fallout 3? Come on, son.

It's an Obsidian game. There will be shitloads of bugs and broken quests before the game is over would be my guess.

Obsidian couldn't put out a polished product if their life depended on it.

Quote from: Joystiq
No, I can only point to one real, genuine, unequivocal misstep Obsidian has made here (OK, two if you count the soundtrack): It's a technical embarrassment. Three times the game locked up on me completely, forcing me to restart the 360. Entering the outside world is more often than not accompanied by 20 seconds or so of the framerate slowing to an absolute slide show. Load times regularly hover between 25 and 50 seconds, in spite of a full hard drive installation. That's not so bad when you happen upon the occasional building in the Mojave Wasteland, but quest lines that take you in and out of several buildings in a row are utterly demoralizing.

Obsidian hasn't even fixed the kludginess inherent to Fallout 3. The camera still gets stuck in the wrong location for dialog sequences and A.I. pathing is still comically unnatural. If I were looking at Fallout: New Vegas as a product, I'd say it's shocking that it's being released to the public in this state.

But as an experience ... well, tech problems are enough to take you out of it occasionally, but not to write the whole thing off. Heck, I bet technical failures are all but an oddly endearing series hallmark for some of you; I know I'd be lying if I said I didn't get an odd kick out of the lousy pathing. Sorry, other glitches: You're still obnoxious.

Honestly I knew it would be broken. The original tech wasn't very good in the first place and Obsidian is trash when it comes to polish. Just look at that steaming turd Alpha Protcol or their other past work.

That being said Fallout 3 itself was broken in many ways and I still enjoyed the hell out of that so hopefully that is what happens here.
