It had kind of a mid-season finale. They finally put an end to the war, but then it's like "Now we have to get ready for the REAL WAR!". Only it never happened...  :'(

That's really how it ended? I always figured there was more but I just never saw it.

Here's what happened:

The second season draws to a close with the defeat of the Neosapiens and the liberation of Earth, but it ends with a cliffhanger suggesting that a third season would describe a war against a new alien race, and that the Terrans and the Neosapiens would be forced to ally with each other.

Season 3 never got made, though.

Yeah, I saw the finale, then. I just figured like a lot of kid's shows, it was bumped to a time where I was either asleep or in school, so I never saw the continuation.
