You have to try to cycle your downloads through Rapidshare/Megaupload/Mediafire/etc.

Chet Baker is awesome. Try to watch the movie about him, Let's Get Lost.

And check out his work with Gerry Mulligan. So fuckin' cool.

Definitely have to check it out. He seems like a very interesting person (from the small snippets I've seen on YouTube). Love his way of crooning, its very slow and evocative (where other notable crooners feel like they phone it in a bit).

Dorky personal trivia: I was totally into black metal and industrial stuff at the time, personally involved in the Scandinavian thing, and picked that one up purely because the name of the compilation it appeared on, Trancesylvania 1.

Totally changed my life, although it admittedly appealed to the old synth fan inside. Went straight to the resident dope dealer / rave dude after listening to the CD.

Well, it's always been like that, but god damn it, I can not seem to find any noise that isn't based on violence, and it's almost as difficult to find anything without Nazi and/or genocide references. I saw them that same year at the War Memorial in Toronto. Best concert I've ever seen. Leaving the hotel, my friend and I got into an elevator going down and 2 Canadian guys get in too. The ask if we are going to the show and we said we were.
One guy says to us, "You guys want some A?"
Our experience with canadians boiled down to watching "Strange Brew" so I though he said, "You guys want some, eh?"
I said, "want some what?"
"A... want some A?
To me, it was "eh, you want some eh?"
"Want some what?"
This goes on for a minute or so and finally he says "Acid".
We declined but we got a good laugh out of it.
