The new BRMC is interesting. They've clearly reverted back to their Anton Newcombe indepted neo-psychedelia roots -- retaining a bit of the blues/country they've picked up since -- after failing to achieve the sort of success they were looking for (and probably should've recieved) with the commerically appealing, Urban Hymns-like "Baby 81".

see that's the thing, they're obviously trying to show influence of older blues psyche rock and that comes across in some sections but it's not really beholden to it in the Wolfmother mode.

Ha yeah I know. I think I was just irked over them dropping their sound and hopping aboard the synth-pop/dance/whateverthefuck bandwagon like all the other NY indie stuff (though I was listening to All Hour Cymbals the other day and I never noticed how much 2080 sounds like it could be on Odd Blood). I'll give it another shot eventually.

Thanks for the heads-up on this one though, cuz I haven't been paying much attention to new music lately. Not too psyched but I'll check it out just the same
