Atoms for Peace's long awaited debut has leaked,

so far it's shockingly good. i haven't heard any of the ep's they've released in the past year or two but from the first few tracks, it sounds like a more refined sound Thom Yorke explored in The Eraser, which isn't surprising given the nature of how the project came about.

Yup it's damn good. Great production and while Ghost sounds subdued, lyrically he came correct. I'm sure the rest of the album will have some hyper stuff

I haven't heard Ghost sound that focused in awhile, and I'm glad it's not a coke rap retread; he does that well but I miss more acrobatically abstract Ghost of yore.

i realized i didn't own SC or Cuban Linx on vinyl so I went and grabbed those on Friday along w/ the Czarface album (found a place which was selling it early).

found a record store neither i nor my girlfriend had ever heard of which was focused on used hip hop jazz and funk for decent prices. they had a test pressing of "Live at the BBQ" for $30. I didn't buy it, but I should have.

Got the How to Destroy Angels album. Sounds like a hybrid of Year Zero and The Social Network score. Which I guess makes sense since TR and Atticus Ross are responsible for the majority of the music aspect of the project. Not mindblowing but not a waste of ten bux either, nice to hear these folks making proper songs again, it's been a while.

this is better than anything they've done in some time though. i've been unimpressed since A New Name, i think the only song i like from Myth Takes.
at least you get a mini out hud reunion on Slyd with molly's vocal. parts of it would be great on a dancefloor between the right tracks.
