Disclaimer: there is nothing implied by this question, you can really just answer one way or the other and be on your way without thinking too deeply about it.

The scenario:
--You're about to graduate from college or grad school
--You have a job lined up that can go places. it's not a dream job, but it's not dead end. stable.
--you're engaged with a girl who you're currently in love with. No guarantees that you stay together, but as far as you can tell it seems fine.
--No debt
--You have stability in your life and into the upcoming years

then OH FUCK:
--You are somehow given hard proof that the Bush administration orchestrated 9/11 to attain some screwed up end! I don't have any details about how that happened, but that's not important. The fact is, you, just you, got this info and you now have the opportunity to break the story.

--Everyone will believe you because you somehow have hard proof. Shit will undoubtedly go down, but you have no idea how the world will react.

--This is the only opportunity for this info to ever get out. Ever.

So what do you do?

Do you:
--Continue on with your life, which seems like it'll be good (from your current standpoint.) There's no special incentive other than that. As I said, life just goes on normally and you have the same chances of getting divorced/cancer/raped by tauntaun as everyone else. You may have to carry the knowledge along with you, but the one opportunity to break the story will pass and once it does, you know that no one will believe you if you suddenly start claiming it later.

--Break the truth to the world, not knowing what'll happen. but hey, the truth will be out there.

that's the problem, you wouldn't know (though you'd probably get killed.) it's more about whether you'd take the chance to unleash the truth or not

I guess it's not fair if I don't answer: hell no.

I'd fear some really bad consequences that would hurt all of humanity for the next 100 years or so. and I'm not sure we'd come out the other end better for having weathered it.

and sure, replace 9/11 with anything-- train bombs in Spain, etc. any major bad event in history.

I mean, people are in these situations every day in more oppressive countries--where they see people abusing authority in heinous ways-- and have to decide whether they'll speak out or not. I just wanted to take the most dramatic one I could think of

I thought of it when I saw a Truther bumper sticker (and he had a Ron Paul sticker right above it) last week.

I'd give the evidence to fox news first (then The networks/CNN) just to see if fox would break the story, or unpatriotically bury it. that way there would be the possiblity of killing two birds with one stone.

if that's against the rules, I probably would do it directly anyway. pretty sure I'm crafty enough to parlay something like that into never working again.

I'd be completely stupefied that those idiot truthers were right all along. Mortified beyond belief, I'd tell the entire truther community that I've found the answers they're looking for, tease the hard proof in a way that's provocative but not revealing, and then burn it all in an obviously done arson attempt at my home and claim some mysterious strangers did it while I was out shopping for eggs or some constantly changing lame excuse.

It would be fun to fuck with those guys.
