H.I.S. is selling Los Angeles<->London round trip tickets for $599 USD.

Holy fucking crap, that's cheap.

I've never been to London before. My work is light next month, I'm single and unattached, and I can totally afford it. I'm this close to just saying "fuck it" and planning a London vacation in two weeks.

Any EBers whose place I could crash at? Even if it's just for a night or two, the savings would push me over the edge to YES LONDON YES.

Anything I must do or see in London should I actually go through with this insane plan?

London requires some planning, seems so. It's pretty big, and rewarding if you know what you're looking for and where to look for it. It's not as good if you just stroll around in an aimless touristy way. For instance, there are a lot of really good restaurants, but also an INCREDIBLE amount of shitty touristy ones.
