Author Topic: Am i the only one who thinks that Capcom will anounce Marvel vs Capcom 3? (Read 1693 times)

No seriously.

1.Capcom has said publically they wanted to bring Tatsunoku vs Capcom to the US but had to find a way to work "Around the licence"

2.EA lost the Marvel Fighting Licence after they closed EA chicago. Thank Goodness for this. Nobody knows who currently has the licence.

3.Capcom is hyping up the port of Marvel vs Capcom 2 waaay too much. Theres even going to be fight pads and sticks from Mad Catz, first time ive seen this for an XBLA/PSN game.

Its huge speculaiton by my part. But i really think its going to happen

Given the marvel boom since MvC2 was made (all the movies), I could see MvC3 or some full Marvel game on MT Framework happening. I'd opt for the latter actually, would be way more profitable for Capcom.

It will happen at some point and the same people who bought SF4, myself included, for the nostalgia kick will buy this for the same reason.

Yes, I think it's likely. They may be waiting to see how MvC2 PSN/XBL sells before fully greenlighting the project, though.

It'll probably be based on a modified TvC engine, but at 360/PS3 graphic standards. The roster will likely not carry over from MvC2, likely it'll be 20-30 characters with several new Marvel characters (deadpool, ghost rider, daredevil, etc seem like some solid choices) and some more recently relevent capcom characters like Dante or Chris Redfield. This is just wild guessing on my part, I have no idea what they'l actually do.
