It's my wife's birthday, so the in-laws showed up out of the blue and took us to the ever so interesting Old Country Buffét. Seafood Friday, apparently, so I suspect that I will suffer symptoms of acute mercury poisoning by 1pm tomorrow. On the upside, the kid is staying with the in-laws for the weekend, so there could be some fun to be had, hopefully before the mercury gets me.

Today I played SO4 almost all day. Gonna leave to go to a bar in a few minutes, it's a small place but they play all that hipster electro stuff like Justice/Boyz Noize, MSTRKRFT, etc. which automatically puts it ahead of every other bar on the island.

And tomorrow I have a date in the afternoon and one in the evening.

Earlier, I decided on the spur of the moment that the weather was so nice that I should grab a six pack and drive down to the Fort Fisher/Carolina Beach area and watch the sun set. Apparently all sorts of other fuckers had the same idea, so my basset hound and I had to frighten some disgusting family with two gross children away from my favorite spot by the rocks. Mission accomplished, beers consumed and view enjoyed.

Then I came home and dicked around on mtgo for awhile, but I can never find anyone that wants to play STANDARD pauper, just anything goes lameness like extended or classic. LAME. Now I suppose I will play some more Shining Force I rom-mage before it's time to pass out.
