I finished Season 5 of The Wire last night (well, 4 am), right after I wanted to go back and start again from Season 1. Great show.

The Bulls/Celtics game is interesting, I'm flipping between that and the NASCAR race.

When that's over, I'm going to download Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection to my PS3. My skills are getting a little rusty, I want to get back to speed and get ready for Tekken 6.

Yeah, moving always ends up being pricier than you thought it would be for whatever reason, and decent looking furniture is so expensive, and if I can't get something that is decent looking and fits my needs, I go for cheap. See: REPUBLIC OF GAMERS UGLY ASS AWESOME GAMING LAPTOP.

last night i went to st louis' cinco de mayo festival, which was pretty weak - just a bunch of stands set up selling crappy beer and food i would never eat. fortunatley there were a bunch of hipster art shows just down the street so i was able to party all night with free hummus and awful white wine.

the insidiousness of ikea is that some of their stuff looks cool too -- i got a bed and a desk that are just the minimum number of matte black rectangles. but you know...i'm almost 30...should probably have some furniture that isn't made of particle board by this point. i also feel like i'm wasting the aesthetic potential of this awesome restored 1940s apartment i found. i wanted old hollywood and i got sweden $:-\$

edit: stefan edberg was my favorite tennis player when i was a kid. that i preferred him to agassi and sampras is one of the very few signs from my childhood that i had any taste

i actually wasn't super into shooters until saturn came along, though of course i liked gradius and r type and thunderforce

i did totally sneak out of bed to play videogames tho -- once me and my best friend took some no doz he got from his parents' medicine cabinet with the intention of playing dragon warrior 2 all night, but pretty early into the session we won the super rare 'gold card' in a store lottery and couldn't help jumping around and shouting. my parents made us go to bed and be quiet, only the no doz kept us up and jittery and miserable all night $:-\$
