the beta was awesome too, even if the destruction wasn't as detailed. It's awesome to Rhino charge through a building to knock an enemy down.

This game is a lock for me; I don't put it in the same genre as Bionic Commando and wouldn't look at it as wanting to get one or the other, but it does make me think twice about Infamous or maybe Prototype.

Both this and Infamous are locks, and the demos for both have a lot to do with that. But Red Faction Guerrilla came out nowhere for me, so fucking awesome. I thought it was alright enough before getting into the mech, but tearing through buildings like that... oh man. I'd totally buy an XBLA mech game if they made one.

Why is there no Mech Assault on Xbox 360 anyway? I only played a bit of MA2, but the first game was awesome.

THere is an XBLA mech game but it's not great. I forget the name, it's the one they showed at last year's E3 that had super duper graphics.

This is one of the coolest multiplayer games I've ever played. On one map, I rhino through the supports for this huge overhanging base thing to give myself a ramp up to the control point. I capture it, and then I start to rebuild the base so that any enemies have to take the long way around

It's one of the most hectic and dynamic multiplayer games I've ever played, I hope it has a community.

Wasn't there some weird history with the license or something? Maybe Day 1 did MA, but Microsoft holds the license? Or it reverted to FASA?

Anywho, I am playing some Fracture now, after finding it at Best Buy for A Greatly Reduced Price. It's neat, and I think the core terrain height-change mechanic should make for insane battles in multiplayer, but no one is playing when I try to find a match.

As for Red Faction, Lyte is true that it's better than Saints Row 2? I call bull-poo-poo on that, as a guy who just put in his 74th hour of SR2 time. THE ROW, babe. The Row.

Just that first mission in the demo alone was far more satisfying to me than anything I played in SR2, and I loved the hell outta that game! The multiplayer is better too, IMO.

I can't remember the last time a demo moved a game from completely off my radar to instant buy. This old feeling. Feels good.
