yeah so Ive been mainly playing ball-busting XBLA games lately, like Dishwasher and Outrun which are super tough, and I want to rent something real easy that just gives up the points, but is also a decent enough ride.

I was thinking:

Prince of Persia?
Mercenaries 2?
Legendary?

any suggestions would be appreciated  :)

Just got done with Tomb Raider, ended up with 920 or so... there are some missables (i.e. Speed Demon and Swan Diver achievements) and to get all 177 relics I'd advise a guide. Not a bad game, and it looks gorgeous... you can surely do a lot worse.

Im leaning towards Silent Hill at this point, I quite like the series and survival horror in general. Is it scary as like 2 & 3?

Hopefully its not rented already at the video shop

Tomb Raider is the #2 choice I guess. God I havent played a Tomb Raider game since I ran through TR 1, 2 & 3 during the Autumn of 2003 lol

  • It was all going to be very admirable and noble and it would show us - philosophically - what it means to be human.

Prince of Persia is comical. Not only has it (so far) been impossible to die, but I racked up 115 points in less than an hour from doing absolutely nothing but playing the game. Poorly, even.

Get Mercs 2 - it tosses out Achievement points like a piņata spews candy.

There are a couple co-op Achievements I'd be happy to help you with, but by-and-large you can skate past 600 without breaking a sweat.

Just make sure you unlock all the landing pads before choosing whether to help one faction over the other get a nuke. I'm SOL because now one hates me and there's no way to get anymore missions to further unlock their landing zones and bases   :(

Best part is the achievements for getting saved less than a hundred times and beating the game under 6 hours are broken, and always unlock after you finish the game.

That /does/ suck.

Of course, you're only talking about the endgame choice interfering with one of the Achievements, which is pretty minor. I suspect you could have used multiple save-points (admittedly slightly less convenient in Mercs 2 than, say, Fallout 3) or could re-play and unlock them all from a new game in about 4 hours.

I thought I was just that good :(

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I bet the achievements aren't broken and they just wanted people to feel good about themselves when they beat it so they made it give the achievements no matter what.

Are they? Or is the game just that easy/quick? I'm pretty sure I saw some people on my FL who beat it but didnt have either.

It's a new thing with a recent patch apparently. A ton of people online have reported getting them without deserving them, and the same happened to me and two of my friends. It just seems to hand them out now regardless of your performance.

cool, yeah that would be sweet. I plan on renting Mercs 2 soon.

Had a blast with Silent Hill Homecoming. Not as good as 2 & 3 of course, but still solid. Some sections were awesome (the Hotel was exceptional) and I really enjoyed the story. Doing a speedrun on hard now woth the laser gun to mop up the last few achieves

almost at 30k gamerscore  :D

It's minor. I just wished I would have read online beforehand. It's most definitely not worth going through again just to get the achievement haha. I was so pissed to see that Obama and Palin were only playable in the crappy minigames and not the main game. That still pisses me off to no end.

Actually, I still haven't found where to play them. I assumed they were skins that you changed into at the wardrobe, and only in the DLC. Where are they? Also, what minigames? The factions non-mission stuff, which you get like 2 or 3 stages of? (e.g. Delivering parrots for Jamaicans)

I have to play the whole thing through again eventually, because some trigger-happy shitheel whacked one of my HVTs while I'm still going for the "Aces High" (no HVT killed) Achievement.
