S-E has said they're not going to interfere with EIDOS operating procedures, at least anytime soon:

Personally, I don't get it. S-E has disgustingly powerful brand strength, a lot of talented artists to throw at their ~~movies~~... ~~games~~... projects, but doesn't have a lot of innovation. EIDOS had some hits, and has done a neat thing by giving Tomb Raider to Crystal D, and actually making the title relevant to the current generation, but otherwise seems too similarly attached to regurgitating the same stable of titles over and over again.

Maybe that's what they like in each other?
