Playstation emulator with fast-forward feature
« on: May 21, 2009, 06:05:43 PM »
For some reason, I can't get the ePSXe emulator to go in fast forward and I have a hankering to play my old school RPGs without having to sit around grinding.  Anyone know of any good emulators for PSone that can do fast forwarding?

Thanks a frillion, folks.

edit: I know the disc-based games won't let me play as fast..so i plan on ripping the cd to an image so there cd won't be a bottleneck. Still can't get epsxe to fast-forward using this method, though : /.

Tried it on epsxe - no go.  Maybe something is up with my V-sync settings.  I dunno.

I have one in a folder called pSX_1_12 if that has fast forward on backspace

I'll see if I can find the site of it.  Here: http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/

what's the easiest psx emulator to use?

i'm basically looking for one that comes fairly complete, that i don't have to drop a bunch of plug-ins into - just load up a disc or iso, tweak the settings, and play

The one swaggaz linked to is basically just that.  It's ridiculously simple.  I didn't have to configure a thing besides my gamepad.
