NICE.

Thats one hell of an achievement, congrats Borys  :)

Great looking build too. I should try a Dark Souls STR run one of these days...

MGSV is way too fucking long, but I can't stop playing :(  I did not ask for a 100 hour MGS game, I'm trying to stick to short games these days!

Agree somewhat, but 30 hours in and I'm still enjoying it greatly (maybe like 30% into the game now).  Just, like most 100 hours games like Xenoblade, Persona, Super Robot Wars, there's always that burnout feel that's there too.  I'm really not a fan of games over 50-60 hours in general.

Pretty sure it is.  I'm about 30% through the story missions
(mission

with about 20-25% of the side ops done at 30 hours.  So at this rate, I'm extrapolating that it'll take about 90-100 hours for all the main story and most of the side ops.

I guess if you just run through the main story missions once, it's probably like 30-50 hours, but that's less than half of the game content.  It's like saying Oblivion or Bethesda games are only 30 hours if you just do only the main story quests.

Finally beat Type-0's second replay, got the 'secret ending' too. Not as fun the second time around, the expert trials and Code Crimson missions were annoying in their lack of save points, and the repetition in environments/gameplay became much more apparent the second time through. Game would have been great if they trimmed the fat, and/or totally reworked it for a console. And axed the final chapter which had nothing to do with anything, along with its "Fabula Nova Crystalis"/FFXIII series ties.

me yesterday: man Peace Walker isn't that bad really. the campaign is really easy and short, but it has decent variety. also the ranking system and extra ops basically act as vr missions, so playing thru them all should be pretty fun.

me today: FUCKING BULLSHIT SPECIAL BOSSES THESE FUCKERS TAKE A HALF HOUR TO KILL THIS ISN'T FUN AT ALL FUCK
Peace Walker feels like it's made for only online Co-Op in mind. It's the kind of game that's best to play with just online, because you aren't missing anything by not doing SP. (You can still get cutscenes and all)

Went back to PvZ: Garden Warfare, playing alternate rounds with my son. Game is still great, but only the original modes have any players. They're usually pretty packed though. Probably going to have to create a TrueAchievements session to get the mode-specific Achievements, as even TA.com appears done with the game.

Yeah, Peace Walker's endgame is either co-op or a grind game.  I remember a loooooot grinding doing it 1p.

Fun game, above and beyond for PSP, but the story was kind of dumb/sucky and the grind stuff wasn't really needed in MGS.

it wouldn't even be that much of a grind if the bosses had reasonable hp. fighting them 4 times each without much change in ai or moveset is annoying, but it's a thousand times more annoying when the all have 500000 hp but i can only do 1000dmg.

all the other missions are fun; just new versions of old vr missions. i like those.

I'm playing this on xbox one currently, had everything unlocked on 360 and want to do it again, I'm basically unstoppable as the chemist. Haven't had trouble finding matches -- I usually play Gardens and Graveyards though. My mic is a POS but add me ( SpencerGR ) just in case! Invisible Inc. is kicking my ass, the roguelike structure is merciless. I have been humbled back to Beginner (but still Ironman : No undo and no level retries). Guard patrols are shorter and I guess the game throws less firewalls and daemons at you.

I have a good play going now, found a third member to the party, everyone has good weapons (ranged & armor piercing), somewhat pertinent augments have popped up and I found a cloaking rig. So the game is probably gonna murder me with some terrible RNG layout soon.

I stand by my opinion it's the best stealth I've had in a videogame, over MGS, SC or Tenchu.

Added!

However, I'm guessing that it isn't cross-platform across xBone and 360, just because World of Tanks made such a huge deal that their xBone version /does/ play with 360. It even required some magic with the voice chat to get xplatform stuff working.

Also, since all the player records are server-side, if it were actually compatible, you should be able to keep the same progress from the 360 version.

Does Dragon Age Inquisition pick up after the first 3 or 4 hours? I've just been trying the xbone version via EA Access and good grief it's slow as molasses. I rolled a rogue archer and combat has been just "Hold RT and tap X to make things die" so far.

It depends on what you mean by "pick up" but no the game doesn't substantially change from your initial impressions. There are dragons which are harder than the regular enemies but the combat never gets tactical in any real way outside of those fights.

Yeah I played with my friend, I never really trust random people on online games.

Man I don't know why the devs didn't just readjust the boss fights for single player. Doesn't really seem too hard to do and there has been many games that has done this kind of thing. :-\

Tried to play Bionic Commando: Rearmed again after 4 years and I just can't do it. It just feels like shit to me. Never quite feel in control. Too precise, not reactive enough, maybe not suited for an analogue stick? I don't know what it is, I just can't do it, so it's probably me. Made it through one level and 90% through another before I fell off for the umpteenth time. Feebly tried to get back up again but eventually just quit and uninstalled. Fuck Bionic Commando.

Yeah finally beaten a campain of InvisibleInc. :hyper
There's even an ending (I had somewhat forgotten there was a plot, it's actually decent for what it is).
Last stage is pretty riveting, the game dealt me an OK hand there but I was still on the edge of my seat, it get pretty crazy with the cameras you've hacked being reclaimed by security and the roaming guards converging on your position. I managed to make it through saving my only downed agent (Nika  :aah ). You really have to make a somewhat optimal campaign maxing loot along because I had to use pretty much everything I got my hand on in the last 2 missions and the finale throw you several curve balls.

The original Bionic Commando is much easier to control. Hm. Might have to try Rearmed with a usable dpad. Enemy formations and reinforcements are bananas though. And the bossfights are terrible.

Expect much, much more weirdness down the road both story & mechanics wise. I would also say to take your sweet time there because that's pretty much the most satisfying part in terms of gameplay once you get the hang on the controls.

Played some Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater with Sceneman today. It was a lot of fun, but Behemoth should have its hands slapped from the keyboard for including a Track-n-Field style mini-game as an online mode... which even has an Achievement attached to it. Jerks. Thankfully Sceneman is helping me boost.

Red Dead Redemption. Playing differently this time, instead of always being the good guy, I'll do what I want to do. Poker and blackjack dealers are getting shot in the face, executing women or civilians that are used as bait by bandits. Killed bandits that stole a safe from Armadillo, and then executed the sheriff, stole the cash, returned the safe.

Ok, made it past that part in BC:R. Turns out you can't be standing on the platform to grapple onto the one above. Thought it might have something to to with the framerate at first, but locking to 60 didn't help. Anyway, I made it past those three doors (cogwheel, gas and electricity), but the disappearing platforms right after are doing me in. I farmed 1UPs just before the Albatross expecting something like this, but I'm not going to learn this part when re-trying takes 15 minutes each time. Fuck end-game difficulty spikes. Fuck death pits. Fuck life systems.
