Actually I think Piano Hero with a mini keyboard would be fuck awesome.  Just seems too complex for either Harmonix or Neversoft

I think Harmonix could handle a piano-based title. I'm more dreaming of a game that actually, kinda, teaches you piano.

I never bothered trying it online since cheating was (still is?) pretty rampant.

I only played three rounds but it seemed fine.  The last one had people spamming poison gas grenades if that's the issue.

Mirror's Edge on PC is stunning. Graphics are insane. This has to be one of the top 5 best looking games I've ever seen.

can you run it with physx stuff? makes the game look even better

So Blue Dragon DS is better than Eternal Sonata (so far, at least), right?

Yeah, except for the graphics/music and controls.

What else is there?  Why are you bothering with this game then?  The way you describe it, it's like self-torture.   :lol

ummm...gameplay?  That's the whole point of 3d games on DS.  They look like shit and usually control bad too, but occasionally the gameplay is better than their console brothers.

But it's literally the same game play and controller!   :lol

I don't remember any Bemani games coming out on U.S. consoles other than the DDR games.  Did I miss something?
I'm pretty sure its really hard to patent a game controller as no one seems real successful at doing so. And even then all you have to do is change the color scheme or a button to bypass it. Otherwise you wouldn't see all those various 3rd party controllers for everything under the sun.

As for whether its fair or not, well, most of the time in life its not who does it first that matters but who does it second. Konami just didn't have the insight to try Guitarfreaks in the west. No one did really considering how many people nay-said Red Octane when they were working on the original Guitar Hero. Plus I doubt Konami is too upset considering their entire non-DDR arcade lineup is that Guitar Hero arcade game they make.

Finished Dead Space.  Verdict:  Awesome like a hot dog.  I don't know why I couldn't get into it last year but I'm glad I gave it a second chance.  The ending was intense.

I restarted Mass Effect now that I am al Team Fortressed out.

Does the texturing popping in ever go away?

Also, why would they ever add a film grain effect? lol What a dumb Idea that was.

Blue Dragon DS is MUCH, MUCH easier when you realize you are supposed to be combining your best equipment with random junk to up the DEF/ATK to the limit.  Like an armor might be DEF54 with a DEF70 limit you can max it to.  Once you are walking around with the best equipment available all maxed out the game is pretty easy/normal and not frustrating.  I might be at the end of the game though, there is a story boss I can fight whenever I want and the game just opened up two more worlds to check out and I can make the next set of equipment.

ati radeon hd 4870

I'm looking for eyecandy to test this thing. I haven't played a pc game in ages. It should run crysis quite smoothly, so I'm definitely checking that out. Mirror's Edge pc is supposed to be a big step up from the consoles, so maybe I'll replay that. Anything else?

250 real-life hours?

That is quite a feat. The longest I wasted on a game was around 180 hours for FFX-2.

ive probably spent wasted well over 200 hours on pokemon red and blue :-[

Since Uncharted 2 is out tomorrow, I'll probably end up playing that before Uncharted 1. I bought shitloads of stuff at the weekend but probably won't get to touch most of them for a while due to constant arguments with my cohabitant.

I don't know if I could get through Uncharted if I'd already played Uncharted 2. It's like Uncharted Sunshine or something.

The texture popping in Mass Effect is redonkulous. I'll be in the middle of a cut scene and some dude's face or armor just magically appears. lol

So far though the game has been pretty fun. I'm actually finding myself kind of fascinated by the overall story. I'm usually one of those types that says "fuck it" to all the side story bull shit." But then again it's been a long time since I played a western RPG.

Depends what sort of player you are.  I've been at it for quite a while, no idea how long but probably over 15 hours.  About 2/3 way through and at 30-40% completion.

Made it up to the Penitentary in Batman, and just about finished with the Valkyria DLC (one more mission and I'm done). I think I'm gonna try to get all the Riddler challenges... pretty fun game, I like how there's a lot of hidden stuff all over the place, and it's more exploration than straight up combat.
