I'm a total newb at this.
How do I install KDE?
What is the best directory to place installations in, of things like say adobe reader?


also firefox is now giving me a red line under 90% of my words.  So forgive me if my spelling is worse than normal. 

Edit:  I think I already have KDE.  I just don't have Kate.

I have recently installed ubuntu. It really is amazing.

One problem though, it keeps giving me a not enough space on hard disk error. As a matter of fact, the last time I used it, I got logged off.

Mandriva.  It is also like super slow for some reason.

*Note: my time with ubuntu is a bit limited so if wrong feel free to correct*

you might need to check the partition that you installed the root directory to. Its possible the space given to it has been eventually used up or was not enough for it.

Also check if you have a lot of stuff placed and/or downloaded in your user folder as it uses the same space (unless you formatted to do otherwise).

cmon its okay, though it seems to use up resources quicker than gnome.
