Nintendo also probably felt that the GC got the short end of the stick last gen and is willing to re-release a few titles to see if they really deserved better sales or if it was better left remaining where it was.

I suspect some insane legs and high LTDs for a lot of this shit.

Yeah dude, judging by the other NPC games, they'd change it to motion controls with no choice to change it back to GCN controls.  For Excite Truck it works, for F-Zero GX, it would be fucking suicide.  Moreso than usual.

Metroid Prime? I picked up Shaun White recently and the Wiimote is used 10x better than that ssx blur shit, so I'm sure a 1080 could be done right. Not that I give a fiddler's fart about 1080.  Are we counting the new Excites as the continuation of the Excitebike franchise? Excitebots has awesome motion controls.

The only thing the Wiimote has done is proven that a pointer is better than a second analog stick, but everyone already knew this from PC games. Waggle itself is a worthless gimmick.
