Does he not get paid a lot or something? I don't really get why he chooses to be in one out of every three movies, either as a major part or just a cameo. It makes Nicholas Cage seem restrained.

I don't care about Rogan, really. I just find the man's overexposure puzzling.

He's been good friends with Judd Apatow ever since he auditioned for Freaks and Geeks. He keeps getting work because:

a) all of Apatow's friends are in his Apatow's movies
b) Apatow is a huge force in Hollywood, and one of the most successful producers today, so Rogen has many connections
c) he's a great character

really, he doesn't get any more or less exposure than Paul Rudd or Michael Cera get

I'm indifferent to his presence in movies, it's just weird that someone would willingly choose to be in that many movies playing the same character. And doesn't he also write? It's just odd for someone to want to work that much.

Apatow is an asshole if he's the reason Michael Cera is also in a lot of movies.

No, I don't really think Apatow has much to do with Cera's success--that's more Cera's own doing in Arrested Development with the help of the Russo brothers and then Rogen hiring him for the role in Superbad.
