Knew it. Everyone knew it. I'm laughing at the UK fans scrambling to explain it. BU BU BU CAL WASN'T IMPLICATED HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING AT MEMPHIS OR UMASS!

The first coach in history to have both Final Four's vacated possibly. :laugh

Hopefully the NCAA digs deeper and nails him to the wall for using William Wesley as a runner, hooking Derrick Rose's brother up with a high paying job, and the same with Tyreke Evans.

Yeah, its all blatantly clear how Calipari works his "magic."

Good thing this doesn't effect UK's current season.

Avatar bet right now:

If UofL beats UK in football this season I'll wear any avatar you can come up with that does not feature Christian Laettner or references thereof for 6 months.

If the opposite, you'll wear any avatar I come up with for six months that does not claim that UofL is Little Brother University.

Deal?

Why would I bet that? I hate Kragthorpe, I have no confidence in him to win any given game next year.

Unless you're a UK fan.  Makes me wish I had some of the logs from conversations with SethC back in the day.  Would make for awesome reading now.

Luther Topps, who coached Rose’s club basketball team with Derrick’s brother Reggie, has been aware of the NCAA investigation for three weeks. According to Topps, the NCAA threatened to revoke former Simeon player Tim Flowers college eligibility if Flowers didn’t agree to an interview.

‘‘Tim told me the NCAA kept bothering him,’’ Topps said. ‘‘That if he didn’t talk they were going to take away his eligibility. [The NCAA] thinks that [former Simeon player Kevin Johnson] took [the SAT test] for him.’’

Simeon coach Robert Smith declined to comment on the situation.

‘‘[Smith and I] didn’t know anything about his test,’’ Topps said. ‘‘Reggie moved me and him out of the way long before that, as soon as the money got involved.’’

I've been saying this crap for YEARS. Cal is as dirty as it gets. The only question is, will the NCAA have the steel balls needed to go directly after William Wesley and find his role in all this.

Why? They aren't employees of a university, and considering the majority of programs aren't stacked with money it would destroy recruitment at smaller schools. They get a free ride and have lax educational requirements - that's more than enough.

If the NCAA cared they'd fine/ban the shit out of these programs, but that's never going to happen because places like UConn, UCLA, and Florida are big names and bring in big ratings. In a fair world they'd get shit canned just like Michigan did

I think you're speaking more of football with Florida, and if UCLA brings ratings, that must be one group of fans who watch the 'grass growing' network, because they play one of the most boring styles I've ever seen.

UCLA doesn't so much play basketball as they stand around fouling for forty minutes while clanging the occasional low percentage shot.

Why would anyone have bitter tears about a coach who constantly underachieves with his team, and an NIT program?  :lol

I was just thinking about Tony Delk the other day.  Dude was flat out amazing in NBA Live 98.  My all time favorite Wildcat (since he was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets obviously.)  Of course that also later made me a Jamal Mashburn fan, but that playoff series he almost died pissed me off cause we should have won.

:bow Tony Delk :bow2
