There's also a rumored Wii Art nongame in development. Wouldn't be surprised if its the spiritual successor to mariopaint with dsi connectivity for Stage Debut.

Nintendo conference is going to be the most fun. Just trash talking Nintendo and making fun of them, pretending to be a disappointed hardcore gamer. Well, it's only pretending if you have a 360 or a ps3 or both, the other guys are screwed.

they are still going to spend like 20 minutes on sales charts and like more than half on wii sports resort and wii fit plus. no matter what they show. there will be some good reveals but the vast majority of this will be boring.

I honestly believe Nintendo is on the truer path to gaming nirvana than MS is.

In order to have full control of ANY type of game (not just casual games) You need to have SOME buttons. That's just the way it is. The only way for NATAL to work on any game would be if we had some kind of chamber you floated in and could walk freely without running into anything.

What happens when you play a non-human? What if you're a creature with wings? How do you control your wings versus your arms?

It wouldn't work. Buttons are needed for the majority of game genres.

NATAL will have it's applications, but the Wii-mote is much more versatile than NATAL could ever be. If Nintendo would make a head mounted motion sensing headset (that worked), we'd be at the peak of game immersion. That is until we get a game hooked up directly to our brain.

Natal, as demonstrated, has nothing to do with gaming nirvana, though. It's not for hardcore gamers. It's minority report for interacting with digital media libraries plus Wii Fit HD. For people that actually play video games, there's a controller.

I think the biggest problem is that Microsoft seems to be pushing the "no controller" thing too much. Just having a wireless nunchuck like controller would add so much, but they're probably too stubborn to do that.

Well, like you said, if it becomes a "problem" for microsoft, they can still come up with some two handed controller to easily rectify its shortcomings.
