Just cause he makes bad non-games nowadays as well doesn't necessarily mean he's forgotten how to make good games.

Now now, 90% new is a pretty good ratio for a Nintendo sequel.

As long as there's enough new stuff, I won't mind much if there are some old levels with new challenges so long as said new challenges are somewhat well thought out.

It's not as bad as say, Punch-Out, but Mario Galaxy was one of the most refreshing and creative games in years and there could be a ton of wacky things that they could come up with. Any recycled content is a disappointment.

I think at last year's roundtable the press finally got him to announce that Pikmin 3 was in development, but that was all.

I think Miyamoto made it all up, just due to the awful showing last year. He was probably feeling sympathetic to his former fans that were forced to sit through so many dull demos. So he threw them a bone and told a little white lie. Can't say I blame him.

More than 90 percent of what you will see in Super Mario Galaxy 2 is all brand new. Maybe even 95 percent. Miyamoto talks over the trailer. Galaxy 2 contains roughly the same amount of content as the original.

NSMB1 was just pretty good and the video I saw of this looks outright dull. And it's the only game coming out for the rest of this year. SMG2 will obviously rock and I guess maybe Metroid might be ok, but that trailer sure wasn't showing it outside of being third person. I'm going to laugh if it winds up being like Sonic Unleashed meets Wario Ware with quickie, instantaneous first person pointer minigames.

Yes, I have no doubt that this game will be playable with one controller. Like Mario Party.

Is level design at the top of their checklist or is it 'fun competitive co op'? And even if they are going for single player level design, can they do better than NSMB?

NSMB Wii looks atrocious, same terrible art as in the DS version, and slow zzzz tempo. level designs in the trailer looked uninspired

Galaxy 2 can be just what I wanted if it includes a challenge. After playing SMG I thought a harder mission pack would make it great. Shame about including Yoshi

Well it makes sense though. Didn't Nintendo say they are going to ramp up the difficulty in SMG 2 and have it appeal pretty much exclusively to the more "LOLOLOL HARDCORE" market?

I still can't believe Nintendo pretty much made me happy with Wii this year. I play 90% of my console games on PS3 but if there was one game on Wii that really justified buying it it was SMG.
