the trailer shown earlier today is on the marketplace and for such a high budget jrpg the VA is terrible

oh the trailer on the marketplace is much shorter than the one on the official site.

FF Versus XIII and the PS3 exclusive ( on consoles anyway

I'm almost 100% positive the cg fmvs in the demo were 1080p. They looked a hell of a lot better than FF7 AC

Ugh, I haven't been paying attention to FFXIII, but sweet jebus that was turrible. Voice acting is crapola and DEAR GOD WHY DO THEY USE THE SAME PREDICTABLE TIRED ASS EMO PLOT FOR EVERY FF? I'm gonna play some ToV to get the taste of disappointment out of my mouf.

I don't think it's that bad.

It's not the voice acting I have a problem with, but the translation and script.

It's a total downgrade, especially after FF12's.

Baten Kaitos Origins still has the most well realised english VA Ive come across. (FFXII's was good too, shame about the gameplay)

Of all the RPGs I've played, DQVIII's the only one with good voice acting. FFX had its moments (please don't reference the laughing scene if you're going to slam my opinion, it isn't clever) but DQVIII was consistently awesome.

I suppose it would be too much to ask for them to come up with a different cliched plot for each FF, or to perhaps have more than one character that's not a teenager. More and more I'm thinking I'm just gonna skip this altogether since I know it will disappoint.
