We could totally use math. It's just a flawed model.

The key is that she retains some of the repulsion or attraction from the previous encounters. It's not like the LSAT, which didn't penalize you for failing earlier attempts.

You just have to figure out how to account for how her memories of her past interactions with you. My guess is they decay over time, and your best bet is to hit a hot streak the first couple weeks after summer break.

I can't read the Brothers Karamazov and I'm sorry for that, since it's supposed to be one of those "must read at least once" books. it's just so tough to keep track of...read crime and punishment in HS and Notes From Underground in college though. both were damn good.

that and Infinite Jest...two books where I've loved what i'd read, but couldn't keep going 'cause they're too dense. I'm more into simplicity like Murakami, I guess.

Sure enough, they're making a Cowboy Bebop movie, and Reeves is playing Spike. It gets weirder. This was announced July 2008, over a year ago. What the fuck? How the hell did I not hear about this?

Today I had to fix a split line on a septic tank's weeping bed. I literally had to bail human waste out of a hole in the ground (with a boat bailer, no less) that kept filling back up. Nobody could come and pump the tank out today on such short notice, so it was some pretty foul work.

Everything is going to smell and taste like farts for the next day. :'(

Underworld was awesome.

Saw them at the Hard Rock venue (the joint). There were only about 500+ people there and, aside from the front row, it had a good vibe.

Their site says that the LA show two days later was cancelled because the crowd got insane and the police shut down the arena.

I took a few phone pictures, but there were loads of people just straight up recording the show, cellphones or otherwise. I don't think I'd ever seen it so blatant, although I haven't been to too many shows lately. $:-\$

when I went to Sonic Youth last month, it seemed like everyone had an iphone or something out at some point. I guess venues realized they can't do shit about it.

I had just gotten my 3GS around that time, so I was fucking around with it a lot at the show, taking pictures and video. All the pictures were a bit blurred and of course, the sound quality was shit on the video, so I don't think I'll be doing that again.
