Huge pet peeve of mine:  Adventure Gamers gives 99% of adventure games 3 1/2 stars out of 5.  It's irratating as fuck because adventure games vary GREATLY in quality.  It is one of the most up and down genre ever and their reviews do not help AT ALL in finding good adventure games.  It's like the famitsu-gives-all-rpgs-a-32/40 thing but even worse.  Grrrrrr

AFAIK there are no bad adventures if you are an adventure addict much like there are no bad jRPGs if you like them

JRPGs are just too fucking long for there to be no bad ones.  Even if you have enough of a soft spot for the genre that a game's JRPG-ness is a positive feature in itself (which I do, for the most part), if you're spending 40 hours on every game that comes out sooner or later you'll need to get something more for your time.

This too.  Boggles my mind when people are excited about 70 hours of gameplay or sad about "only 30 hours." 

Aside from the gameplay getting stale/repetitive and completely broken after you've grinded enough and gotten good enough gear, the developers are tasked with creating a super long movie (about 10 hours in story-related scenes, does that sound right?   

probably only a few movie directors are gifted enough to sustain anyone's interest for that long.

I was going to drop it because I felt lost in the class and still do for the most part.  I need this class for another I'm taking in the spring so I'm going to have to study up on this more so I feel more confident.

This sucks. Some girl in my building has been watching TV for the past 5 hours, with the windows open to the courtyard, and laughing loudly.  I don't know what she's watching but it's got a laugh track that goes off every five seconds, usually prompting her to laugh.  But it's not a normal laugh, it's like a weird moan.  I think she might be distinguished mentally-challenged.   It's not worth the trouble, since I can tune it out...but it's bizarre!

I've switched one my building assignments for the coming school year. Instead of the elementary school up on the Indian reservation, I'm now at my old high school. I haven't been there since I graduated in 1999, pretty weird working there now.

I start with a 10am class that goes till 11:50, then a 2 to 3:20 for 3 days a week.  then on 2 days, I have only one class.  Easy schedule, but I wake up at 7:15, read all in between classes with 15 minutes for lunch, then read after class until 10 or 11pm.  and the classes themselves are kinda crazy.

I had the best souffle EVER at the new orlean's place at disneyland.  fuuuuuuuuck awesome.  I love my medication infusions because before a chocolate souffle like that would have KILLED me; now I can handle it ok.  Also splitting the appetizer sampler plate as a main dish makes expensive restaurants affordable for dates!  $27 total for dinner (including a $10 dessert) for 2 at $$$$$$$ place.

I went to a big get together last night at a townie bar as part of my 10-year high school reunion last night. It was actually kind of fun to see some people I liked back in the day.

The actual reunion is tonight, and it would cost my wife and I $100 to go. No thanks.
