So my youngest brother (lets call him Bro #4) came to my place passed out drunk last night - well this morning, 5am to be exact.
I live with one of my brothers (lets call him Bro #2), and last night my parents dropped Bro #3 over so they could go see a play. The night went by with no incident outside of Bro #3 trying to eat my roommate's food; luckily as I said before, the roommate is out of town. Then at around 4:40am I hear lots of noise which annoys me, and soon I found out Bro #4 is on his way to my place, and very drunk. Annoyed I'm clearly not going to get any sleep, I decided to make sure to make his first drunken night/hungover morning as uncomfortable as possible. But that plan goes out the window when a car shows up, and two people start carrying my bro to the door.
They put him on one of the couches in the front room and it's clear he's very drunk, but he seems ok; I've seen enough drunk kids/adults to not be worried, and I turned my attention on the people who brought him. So I found out one of them is a 22 year old piece of shit dude, and the other is a 16yo girl. The guy tells me he didn't buy the alcohol, but he drove them to the store and they drank at a party at his house at 2am. Vodka mixed with orange juice. And as I'm getting all this compressed he adds in "if I knew he'd be like this I wouldn't have given him the weed." The fuck? So my brother had three drinks and a hit of weed I ask him if he knew my brother was underage and he says "I work with him, I thought he was 17...". This asshole then proceeds to sit on the second couch in the living room, and I want to beat the shit out of him right then and there. But I figure the police will be involved soon, so I might as well get as much of his story as I can before he gets scared at the prospect of cops showing up.
My parents eventually show up freaked out; Bro #4 is clearly being drunk but very responsive, breathing well, etc. They call 911 then ask the 22yo what happened, at which point he does exactly what I expected: changes his story. Now he claims my brother told him he was 18 and only had two drinks, and it wasn't a party, instead describing it as a work meeting. So I'm like "and what about the weed." His response? "Oh, he also had some weed. I thought it wouldn't be right to hold out." I'm fucking serious.
The medics get to the house in record time, do some tests and say my brother's vitals are fine, he's just drunk as fuck and they take him to the hospital. 10 minutes later the police show up and start getting stories. My dad talks to him, then I talk to him. He talks to the 22yo briefly, goes back to my dad, and then gets in his police car. My dad then tells me the cop is thinking charges don't need to be pressed, which baffles me. Eventually a female officer shows up and talks to us, then proceeds to rip the 22yo to pieces while the other cop is in the background taking notes; she tells him he's going to get charged. It's cold as fuck outside and while the police are talking to my dad, the 22yo comes up to me and asks if I have a coat he can borrow. I just looked at him like "seriously?" and ignored him. After awhile my dad and Bro #3 head to the hospital, I head back inside the house (alongside Bro #2), and the police continue talking to the 22yo; eventually Bro #2 goes back out and gives this piece of shit a coat, which annoys me but whatever. When the female officer leaves, the male officer takes the 22yo to his car to talk, I think he gave him something - I was watching from my room's window. Then the cop drives off, and the 22yo and the 16yo get in their car and drive off.
I got in touch with my parents a couple hours ago and found out my brother left the hospital at 11am, and is sleeping now. I have no idea what's going to happen with the 22yo or the 16yo
I can't say I was scared this morning, the only thing I felt was an intense anger aimed at this asshole who figured my brother was old enough to drink and smoke. Sure it's not like my brother is blameless, he did drink and take the hit. But this piece of shit bought alcohol for him, the 16yo girl, and whoever was at the party. And I refuse to buy this bullshit about him thinking he was 17. Bro #4 is pretty vain/arrogant and makes sure everyone knows he's 15 and in (community) college. He works at the school's writing center (with the 22yo), checking papers and stuff.
I still don't know all the details. What time did my brother sneak out the house? When did my parents find out? The rest of this day is going to be pretty interesting I'm guessing.
