I thought you meant a demo that I could play, like, right now on my 360.

I saw a bunch of video of this game over the past week and I'm pretty excited for it.  I barely knew anything about it, but it looks like the type of open world game I like where you can climb and go anywhere (Ass.Creed, Crackdown, Infamous).  Best new sub-genre this gen.  Plus, it looks like it's crazy WW2 instead of realistic WW2.  Zeppelins flying around, flame thrower guys randomly on the streets of Paris, other shit like that.

Are you saying there AREN'T flamethrower-guys on the streets of paris?

There are firebreathing mimes throughout Saints Row 2's Stillwater. I'd assumed they'd been shipped over from Paris.

That's actually a bit disappointing, imo. I've been hoping for a good game about resistance and guerrilla action in WW2 for a while, and I wouldn't mind if it was at least somewhat realistic. When people say they are tired of WW2, they tend to look only at the open warfare bit, which is honestly a bit troubling. Given the focus on the relatively minor allied push towards the end of the war, I wonder how many people think that's all there was to the war. I figured maybe this one would be more grounded and have some historical significance. Oh well.

This type of game would be SO much worse if it was more realistic.  Open world + realism usually is not that fun.

I couldn't agree more with that sentiment. There's already a realistic open world game, and it can be seriously limited in the amount of fun it offers from time to time.

I'm not saying that this should be a realistic game, just that I'd want to see a more serious game based on the underground/civil resistance movement in WW2.

Heh, it's kind of like watching a new instalment of Assassin's Creed.

It looks really cool, I hope you can do tons of stealthy stuff if you want.  I'm sure the options are there.
