Indiana Jones where are you?
« on: June 16, 2009, 06:13:12 AM »
What happened to that middleware-heavy Indy Jones title that LucasArts was touting two or three years ago? Is it dead? Did the mashed and defeated Star Wars: The Force Unleashed end up flopping so hard that it took out Indy as well?

Or did that last travesty of a movie kill all interest in the license?

Man, I hope it's still coming and doesn't suck, but I have a frightening feeling that it'll control like GTA IV's euphoria "enabled" Nico, except for an eight hour sequence of QTEs with no checkpoints.

Is the Fate of Atlantis on the Wii disc the talkie version or the original?

Killed for costing too much, harvested for parts for Wii travesty which comes with best Indy game ever.

That seems all to feasible, and a Wii version could probably sell just based on the broad installed base and the license.

It seemed too freeform to be reasonable anyway. The Euphoria fight scenes were supposed to be entirely driven progressively -- does euphoria claim to be anything other than a progressive animation system?

I love Fate of Atlantis. One of my first adventure games and still one of my favorites.

So, was there ever a confirmed cancellation, or is it enough that a very similar game launched only on Wii, wearing the assets of the old game, like Buffalo Bill was wearing a suit made out of the skin of his victims?
