Knights in the Nightmare
« on: June 17, 2009, 05:35:50 PM »
So I bought this at GameStop and when the girl there saw what I was buying she gave me this whole good-natured lecture on how great it and other Sting games are, which segued into some unsolicited strategy advice on how I need to always present my items during battle or something.  She was kind of cute (and super nerdy obviously), should I try to get her number to give to Tiesto?

I buy them, anyway.  I have no idea where Prole finds the time to play all the games he does, though -- has he finagled his way into a middle-management position that doesn't require actually doing any work?

You should follow the age old rule of:

Hair on the muff, shes old enough.

What if she shaves?

i play each game for roughly 15 minutes to an hour, offer an opinion, and then pretend i don't know what people are talking about when they express discontent with my opinions

tbh, she seemed naive, nerdy, and Midwestern enough that I think her effusive impromptu discourse stemmed purely from her enthusiasm for the game; i actually doubt there were any flirting undertones intended.

but I guess I could have her ring up yggdra union psp for me sometime and see if my first impressions were wrong somehow.

Re: Age.  People are people.  If you're interested in someone for who they are and they're interested in you for who you are and it's not illegal, then what is the problem?  Just because society sets strict social guidelines to what is the norm doesn't mean you have to adhere to them.

Make a game review site called 15 min reviews.  My bet is the review quality would be identical to 95% of reviews at other sites :)  In fact, why doesn't EB have an official review section outside the Borecast?  This could be it and all posters could contribute reviews :o

I usually make my purchasing decisions based on the opinions of a select group of forumgoers, not professional reviewers, and I once thought of making a review site that would just aggregate all the pertinent forum comments from that group (if they bought in to the idea).

I don't even play them at all for the most part.  I represent truly cutting-edge game journalism.  In fact the anecdote about the girl at Gamespot is my actual K.i.t.N. review.  I just forgot to include the score which I have since remedied.

I'm becoming very disinterested with most games.  Basically, I'll buy something for the novelty of it.  Just a few hours to build an opinion.  Throughout the year I'll peck at the different games I've accumulated, imagining it'll get finished.  I kind of want to cancel my 7 pre-orders and transfer my money to the personal trainer: cooking green dsl bundle.

Well, come to think of it, I have finished a few, but the sense of accomplishment isn't there anymore. *shrug*

I still finish any game I start and enjoy.  But in order to do that and game less and less (which is my current plan of game retirement) I just don't play that many titles.  I'm fine with that though.  Just means I'll never turn on my Wii  :lol

re: 15 minute review - i would contribute, and i also have a couple of ideas how it could be done

i still love games, they're my main form of electronic entertainment nowadays

i just get easily frustrated and tend to give up on them pretty quickly - almost kicked my laptop across the room over prototype at lunch today

I'm down with the review thing.  I can provide 15 minutes vs how the whole game panned out.  I tend to complete most games, and I play a lot of games.

Prototype is the first game in a long time to get me to break my 360 controller.  I twisted it so hard that now the shell feels a bit loose.

Anyone playing this?

I don't understand the transoul option. Well, more like I don't know when to use it. I don't see the benefits, nor do I know factors the game takes into account when you use it.

Btw this game rocks my balls.
