Gameplay is not as good, or gameplay is not as technical? It feels really fucking good beating up creatures in God of War, and the gameplay (combat and other aspects) is both tight and varied. It's not very technical or demanding when compared to other action games I've played, but it's a shitload of fun with an awesome feel to the combat, even the QTE bits. QTEs may be seen as cop-outs, but what they accomplish in these game is just fucking awesome. Other games will throw a QTE at you for performing some basic move, but in God of War it can result in you ripping out monster eyeballs, impale a Hydra head on a broken mast, or tear the armor off a giant minotaur.
And yeah, presentation matters to me. Music, creature designs, backdrops and architecture, they have nailed the presentation with each game.
