This is the first time I've ever laughed at something on Jimmy Fallon's program.

It feels like he stole a writer from Conan or something. Whomever wrote the sketch needs a raise and purge the rest of the staff.

Also, fire Jimmy Fallon.

The writing is actually not half bad. Some of his bits make me chuckle. I think his monologue jokes are better than Conan's actually.

But Fallon is an awful, awful interviewer. It's painful to sit through at times.

I do not know how he got the job.

Sounds a bit like Conan's first year. I wonder if he'll find his stride (or is the show even doing well enough for that to happen)?

His show has gotten a huge ratings bump since Conan took over The Tonight Show, actually. Conan is rapidly losing Leno's viewers to Letterman, but he's drawing in his built-in audience which is sticking around for Fallon's show.

I mean, I actually make it a habit to watch The Tonight Show, which is something I never used to do.

Leno's audience skewed older than Conan's, and they are just not jiving with stuff like Twitter Tracker. Letterman has even beat Conan in overall ratings several times already, although Conan has the young demo pretty much locked down.

So I actually tuned in tonight to see if he could ride the momentum and he seriously just aired one of the worst comedy bits I've ever seen on network television. Like MadTV would turn it down.

He's just showing growing pains. I think he'll be fine, just like Conan was fine after a few years. Remember, it took Conan 4 years to really buckle down and get good.

Fallon just needs to work on his delivery. He's obviously not the student of comedy that Conan is, but he's a young guy that knows what makes most other young guys laugh, for the most part. Just needs a moment that really makes his show click, that's all.

It's pretty incredible how much he's gotten better in the span of 4 months though, even if he's not great yet.

Yeah, but they are never the butt of jokes - it is pretty much Fallon constantly telling them how great they are and that they are the greatest band ever.
