Insert pedophile joke here.

Bloodwake actually texted me that he was dead a little bit ago.  I responded "And children across the world breathed a sigh of relief".

See you all in hell.

Wow.  One of the first cassette tapes I bought with my own earned money was Thriller.  I rode around the neighborhood on my bike listening to it endlessly on one of these:

no, i had a knockoff members only jacket, though

we were too poor to afford real leather

i just liked that album a lot, plus when you're a kid and you buy something with your own money you tend to wear it the hell out

I never knew until I saw that poster that Francis Coppola directed Captain Eo. Is that still playing at Disney?

I was thinking about it just now, and you know how people say "I grew up listening to/watching <celebrity>?"  Well, I honestly couldn't think of a time from the year I was born until I reached adulthood that Jackson wasn't on the radio/television/movies in some fashion.  And I don't mean in the gossip rags, I mean actively producing new work.  From The Jackson 5 straight through to Dangerous, I literally grew up watching and listening to this guy.

Not entirely unexpected, though.  You can't do the clinically insane things he did to his face and body and expect to outrun the side effects forever.

I was watching his music vids this week on Vidzone. Just this week I thought to myself " MJ, he's 50 and he looks so young". He was also planning a big comeback.

The oldest home video with me in it has Michael Jackson music playing throughout.  I've never not been a fan of Michael Jackson.

So...

Will Weird Al Yankovic retire "Eat It" and "Fat" from his live setlist?
Is the Lewis Black joke about Jacko being the punchline to everything not funny anymore?
Will Sega put the arcade and Genesis versions of the Moonwalker video game on the Wii Virtual Console in his honor?
Will Jim Rome spend half of his show tomorrow berating the clones for trying to make a joke out of this?
