Classic games that yet to have rereleases or 3d follow ups

Just thinking about classic 2d games I played when I was young, and I got to thinkin'.

How come we don't have a new Paperboy dammit?

It feels as we go further and further through generations a lot of great games are going completely forgotten. Sometimes I worry we're going to forget our gaming history, which really makes me sad.

Nah, Kid Icarus was crap and should stay dead. I wouldn't frown at an update to The Guardian Legend or Battle of Olympus, though!

What I want is a REAL R-Type Final and not the mediocre effort we actually got.

Chakan the motherfucken Forever Man. There was a DC version in the works but it got canned :( 

Ive got the soundtrack the Genny original in my Winamp, it gets 'heavy play' lol
