I've had the Uncle Burger (without bacon) while visiting B.C.

Good stuff, much better than A&W burgers here in Seattle. Plus, they serve poutine there.

Locals are always better than franchises. We've got one here, they have an open kitchen,so you see how they make the food. Those guys are pro's, ordered 3 pizzas and a chicken burger. Got them all, hand made, in like 6 minutes. Now, I don't know the standard speed, since I've only eaten at McDonald's once in my life. But my guess is, that's pretty fast.

None of the A&W around me have ever been able to produce a burger that didn't taste a day old, fresh from the microwave.

What is the definition of fast food? Do you mean just the literal amount of time it takes to prepare it?? Does it have to have a drive-thru? Maybe some union-busters?

If you order it at a counter, and end up carrying a cardboard box or plastic tray with your stuff on it to a table of your own choosing, it's fast food. If anyone comes to the table to take your order, or actually comes to find you with your food as part of the deal, it's "restaurant food."
