I guess I'm in the minority, but I found a lot of S2 incredibly dull. The conflict with Doakes was great (headbutt scene omg), as was Lundy's presence, but holy shit was Lila a bore. On the other hand, the Prado arc was brilliantly executed, and although I agree that Lithgow makes a much better antagonist, I still thought Smits was fantastic. Those last few episodes were fuckin intense

I liked this episode but the twist at the end is a bit stupid.

It means that the reporter is the one who shot debra and lundy obviously, which I can buy in this type of show that already had so many improbable twists. But how does Trinity not know that Kyle is Dexter? I can't buy that much.

It was pretty obvious Arthur and the reporter aren't chummy chummy so there isn't really a situation where Dexter or Kyle would ever come up in the limited conversations they have.

the huge reveal of an extraneous character introduced to the show under circumstances totally unrelated to the main arc suddenly being unveiled as the daughter of the antagonist. It's a twist for the sake of having a twist, and it's cheap and tenuous even considering the developments of previous seasons.

in this episode, in that she didn't just happen to be fucking Quinn, she was trying to get an in into Miami Homicide, and she had reason to piece together her Dad being Trinity.
