HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (July 9) - Members and officials of a private swimming pool in a predominantly white Philadelphia suburb reacted to a visiting group of minority children by asking them not to return and pulling other kids out of the water, a day camp director said, and the state is investigating.

The Creative Steps camp in northeast Philadelphia had contracted for the 65 children at the day camp to go each Monday afternoon to The Valley Club in Huntingdon Valley, camp director Alethea Wright said Thursday. But shortly after they arrived June 29, she said, some black and Hispanic children reported hearing racial comments.

I think it's because when black people go in the water some of their "black" comes off so really it wasn't racist, the white people just didn't want to get all "black".

When you're on the run from da popo and you come across a river bank, you'd had best know how to swim. This is why in the negro community, we teach them kids swimming lessons at a young age. This is especially true in the south because of swamps and shit.

Normally in cases like this, the offending company usually has a good stance, like "They were causing shit" or "Check bounced" but overestimating the number of kids? That sounds pretty fucking shitty considering what else you could do to alleviate the issue.

It just sounds like it was a bigoted community and loved money until richer people complained.

Sounds like they don't have a problem with lots of children!

when i was the pool nazi at my apartment complex for a couple of summers, i used to have to run non-residents out of the area two or three times a week

95% of the time it was black kids from the surrounding neighborhood

i felt terrible about it since they were almost always well-behaved, and i just knew they thought i was a racist asshole

on the other hand, my rent was 1/2 price for those two seasons, so fuck em

Not true. GTA:VCS' Vic Vance can swim. In short, until GTA IV only black people could swim.
