Branding is often an expensive and ludicrous proposition.  See the new Pepsi logo for example - which will cost PepsiCo hundreds of millions of dollars.

It's really funny to see these huge conglomerates spend millions on designs that someone in their own art department could do for pennies.

I never understood the need to spend millions rebranding. I mean it makes sense if a company moves in a drastically different direction. Or they need a new image after a company disaster.
