They're doing open lines tonight and there have been two Bubba Booeys so far. An hour to go and I dint think they've stopped yet.

I miss Stern. I haven't heard a show since he went to satellite, but I doubt I'd get enough use out of a sat radio system to bother picking one up.

Seems like the dim response of an O&A fan.

Stern has always had C-level guests. Even in his heyday his best guests were people like Jackie Stallone, Grampa Munster or other washed-up TV actors. A-listers are dull, they never give anything up (or are too afraid to even come on). He had Ben Stiller come on a month ago and the guy was a total stiff.

I've heard Jim Breuer on other shows though. He's just garbage.

Never listened to O&A. I haven't listened to morning radio shows in quite some time, and even when I did I was sad and ashamed of all the asshats wrapped up in inter-show feuds. It's relatively embarrassing. I was under the impression that most Stern diehards had somewhat turned on him at this point, since he has kinda checked out (4 shows a week, frequent vacations and hiatuses).

I really liked Jackie. Too bad he left on such bad terms. I can't stand Artie. He just doesn't know when to shut up.

I've never gotten the appeal of Stern. He's not...funny. I'd imagine the show would be more interesting to me if I knew the history/callers/etc

We have some morning talk shows here that are funny, or were. Now there's so much gossip, celeb obsessions/bashing, and tv show spoilers that I barely listen anymore

Never understood the Jackie appeal myself. He always laughed at his jokes the loudest, and although he's a walking encyclopedia of 'bad jokes' he's really not that funny off the cuff. If he was so funny/talented, what the hell has he been doing the past decade?

Willco, if I was trying to post clips of the Stern show being funny I would have. I was posting bababooey calls which are rarely funny or clever, which I already clarified. They aren't really part of the 'Stern Show.'

Well, that's because Ian is actually pretty smart except when he talks about Bible stuff. Which is hilarious because his Sunday job is as a minister. Opie and Anthony were awesone on Terrestrial radio but at some point they got really full of themselves and started treated fans a bit like crap. Even then, Anthony is hilarious and so is lil' Jimmy. The show goes Super Saiyan when Patrice O'Neal is on. Opie has always been the one to cling on to a funny joke and kind of ride it a little too long.

I was never really a Stern fan.

Actually listening some yesterday, it was funny. Some guy called in and went crazy yelling all this stuff about Obama and he was like "uh .. why are you talking like that?" And they he said he did so he could get it all in before he got hung up on, and Ian was like "well why are you acting in a way to get hung up on." And then the guy went on about how Obama is the Anti-Christ and Ian owned him with some Revelation stuff saying he doesn't even come close to fitting the criteria at all and the guy didn't know what to say he was just like .. "uh what about his healthcare, thats like 666" and Ian was like "feel free to call me back when people get 666 stamped on their hand to get healthcare, then we'll talk"
