The Yes Men Fix the World

I watched this on HBO last night and found it pretty amazing. Basically, they get on news shows or do speaking engagement posing as spokesmen from companies who have done great environmental harm and say how the companies are taking responsibility for the harm and are spending billions of dollars to clean them up.
Then they sit back and watch these companies issue statements that it was a hoax and they have no intention of cleaning up their messes.

If you see it on TV, I would highly recommend watching it.

This was at the Seattle International Film Festival, but I was unable to go. I really enjoyed the first film, can't wait to see this.

Sound cool, did all companies back paddle?  Cause I think it would be kind of hard to do sometimes.
All of them did. One of the more intriguing stories was the Union Carbide plant blew up in Bhopal, India 20 years ago.

Quote
The average amount to families of the dead was $2,200
The dude went on BBC posing as a spokesperson from Dow chemical(who bought UC) and said they going to put $12 billion dollars toward the cleanup of the facility for it's 20 year anniversary of the disaster.
To which Dow released a statement that it basically had no plans to clean up the site which, to this day, is contaminated and has been contaminating the drinking water there ever since.

They played the Union Carbide interview on public radio the other day. It was pretty good, the BBC guy hardly even flinched.
