You should make your own life's story/failure into an American Splendor-esque comic

team lead isn't so bad. I mean, you could have been asked to take a hard look at becoming a project manager or something.

I have a cunning plan.  Force your team to stay up all night programming with you by telling them false due dates like two weeks before they are actually due.  Being early will make you look good to your boss and you will receive a raise.  Use new income to impress L.

Nobody "forgets" to talk to someone they are romantically interested in - did your OKCupid career not teach you this?  I don't like to say it but if your girl hasn't responded by now, it's time to stop getting your hopes up.

Hmm, maybe L suspects you're Kira and is testing to see if you call on your own.  But you must weigh out the options.  If you call L now, he'll think you are being too hasty and are paranoid, which would definitely mean you are Kira, because you're trying to hard to convince him that you are concerned.  If you wait too long, L will think you are complacent in helping out with the case and that if you aren't fully involved, then your initial involvement was just to placate him, so that he wouldn't think you were Kira...so taking too long would tip you off as Kira.  On other hand, if you wait just the right amount of time, L will predict that someone as cunning as Kira would know the perfect time to call back.

Yeah, my only hope is that she's nervous about what to say or something.  I've taken weeks to respond for that reason, so maybe she suffers intermittently from the same affliction?

Yeah, actually there have been a couple companies I've been at where that would be described as "a schedule."
