I actually turn off voices when I play RPGs :smug

I just don't understand why this is priced at 15 bucks when most other XBLA games are priced at 10.

Everything but the stupid instant death laser rooms was awesome in this game. I fucked up and missed the Hyperspeed across the lake achievement though :(

Alright.  I think I'm about done with Shadow Complex.  I'm at level 20, I've collected all the pieces of armor, all 12 gold bars, and about 90% or more of all the other items.  I went through the end game (which is ridiculously too easy when you have the helmet) and I don't think I want to go back to this for quite awhile.  Fun while it lasted though.

Kind of wish it had some sort of teleporter system towards the end.  Having to go back and forth for the umpteenth time was about to have me drive my head through the fucking wall.  Teleportation should've been one of the power suit's abilities instead of that helmet that makes you invincible.

That's 20 on normal with a whole lot of bullshit killing on the side.

I'm not starting over on insane and gunning for the level 50 achievement though.  I can't take anymore SC.

Yea, teleporters are a glaring omission.

I'm playing on Hardcore, I have like 65% of the map revealed and I'm already level 23. I haven't had the suit for very long and I don't think I got any of its bonus components.

Should be a teleport to any save room like Red Faction.

I got to level 28 or something on Hardcore, it wasn't that difficult. Like Hitler said I'm not going to go back to this for a while, even though it was fantastic.

Once you've gotten the Missle upgrade, is it possible to get all the other items in the game? I don't want to trigger that last boss fight and create an annoyance so I want to get 100% as early as possible.

Come to think of it I need something that lets me swim even deeper, don't I

No, the missile upgrade doesn't give you access to everything.  You're still going to need to pick up the remaining powersuit components (or at least the hookshot and double jump) if you want to snag all the other collectables.  And there's nothing out there that'll make you swim any deeper than the scuba gear.  As soon as you get that you're set, you can swim as deep and as long as you want.

You can easily work around the end game too.  The game will autosave right before the final battle begins so all you gotta do is stop going to the right.  You can work yourself all around the map from there and if you accidently set the sequence off, just reload your last save.

OK. I heard there was some dome exploding cutscene that could affect your ability to get certain items. When does that happen? I have the hookshot and now I have the triple jump too. All I need is the last gun and the helmet.

If you're to the point where your collecting stuff like the hookshot, go to the map screen and turn on the blue marker/trail thing.  You should see an area in the gold section that has an icon in it pointing you where to go.  That's the place with the dome event but that's not the final end game.  But if you just stumbled upon it by chance, there's a save room right before the dome sequence and even if you miss that, just die in the fire and start from the last save point.  Nothing to really worry about.

Dude, Insane is EASY. I die sometimes but its not beat your dick in. Plus you keep your EXP so you can re-kill those guys and re-explore the map and get even more EXP. Why are people afraid of Insane? I just entered the factory and now at Level 20. That's 4 levels in a span of like 5 minutes.

I'm only level 29 and I already have infinite ammo for all my sub weapons. I thought you had to max out your dude to get this? Either way, 8)

Oh, I guess it's from having all of the upgrades for a given weapon. I'm just missing 1 gold bar and 1 health upgrade. And the helmet.

Leveled up to 30, and it said I had infinite Foam. So I guess they do it both ways, but only one will carry to a NG+.

ugh. In that part where you had to do speed jumps across electrified water, I turned it to casual so I wouldn't get one hit killed if I hung off the ledge. Well it counts your whole run as casual if you do that, even if you beat it on insane. My career score sucks. Next run will be insane beginning to end.

I need help! I just got to the part where you're supposed to go back and see Claire, but you find her being dragged off by people again. Anyway, all the possible routes require missiles to progress, and I don't have one.  Should I have the missiles at this point? Did I somehow accidentally sequence break in a way that has stopped me from progressing?

I tried bumping it up to Insane but it was too annoying... I was on like level 19 at that bit with the gatling duders so you level up fairly quickly on Hardcore anyway...

I'll go for minimalist when Im done with my 1st playthrough but I'm not sure If I'll for those 100% speed runs... they sound tough!

Has anyone checked out the challenge rooms?

I dont think you did, the bit with lots of missile doors is round where you get the missles. You gotta sneak through some vents and shit, just check everything with the flashlight

Then it's Minamalist and Level 50, then the challenge rooms. "Master Challenges" can suck it. I dont have time for that shit. (unless you unlock something really cool)

I couldn't resist and bought on the weekend.  Started playing on insane since I heard there's some level 20 cap or something.

Now that I'm getting some upgrades it's getting seriously awesome but I think my first playthrough is going to be huge in terms of time.  I don't think there's any achievements for playing insane though?

As demi pointed out to me a bit back, you can switch the difficulties on the fly with no penalty, so if you haven't already blown through the game, you can still reap some of the XP benefits.

When you beat the game, your multiplier is based off of the lowest difficulty you had throughout the whole game.  Even if you went to casual for just a second, it would assume you beat the game on casual.

Fair enough, but I was told that you get more XP per kill based on what difficulty you're currently playing on. Is that incorrect? If so, fuck me, because I only played about the first 10 minutes of the game on normal before making the switch. I was going to restart, but I figured I hadn't gotten far enough to bother.

I would've thought not having a 360 and not playing games anyway would be a bigger factor in not being able to 'support' Shadow Complex.

Anyhow went back again and got some more items, I'm at like 92% now so I might as well finish it off
