A 16mm short film I made.
« on: December 11, 2006, 08:56:21 PM »
This is a short film I just  made for my intro to 16mm class. The transfer is terrible because of the equipment at our school, it looks a whole lot better projected. The dirty transfer causes the frame to flicker and it cuts off some of the top and left hand side.

We couldnt have any sync sound including dialogue. It was alot of fun to make.

Do Youtube videos have to have a certain codec or anything? I gotta get some f my old movies from college on there.

Edit: Found a few, they're in m2v/wav format. What's the easiest way to get those into 1 file to put on Youtube?

Pretty awesome! Granted things usually look 10 times better than they really are in black and white, I liked it. Funny stuff

Like I said the image quality is shit because of the transfer. Its not a proper film to video transfer, its basically a video camera recording the film as it passes by. We call it a dirty transfer. Its looks crisp when projected.

And who is eminem?

1. Get better equipment at your school.

2. Are you serious?

Our school equipment sucks. Apperently UT austin is supposed to have one of the best film schools in the country but alot of our camera equipment just plain sucks ass.

Well im not an actor, I just make funny faces. Our actor dropped out last minute and I had to fill in. I actually dont think i did a bad job though. My teacher loves my character in it.

Actually UT is a pretty good deal. It's a public school so the cost is ridiculously cheap compared to NYU or USC. I pay $11 a year, while the other people might pay $30,000 a year. And the equipment really isn't that bad, I'm in the intro to film class so our alloted equipment isn't the newest stuff.

I'm gonna try my luck at a few other universities first, and see what they have to offer -- but UT does sound pretty tempting for the price. Hell, if I need to I'll save up for some of my own equipment... :-\

Where's Callandor's call after Ring Guy goes all-in?  Why are there 5 aces? I DON'T GET IT. Also:

1. Arab Dude could've taken less time to go all-in
2. Cal's expressions were over-the-top, but amusing
3. Ring Guy was boring
4. Crazy Old Man was awesome

He was cheating. It was subtle.

He didnt want to take his friends ring, so he had to think about what was more important to him, his friend or money.
