I want a Shadow or Locke FF spinoff game

Since square is in the habit of making a multitude of spinoffs and sidequests, they could be nice and give my generation a shout-out with a Shadow or Locke FF game.  You could have Locke and Celes post-FF6 or Locke and Rachel pre-FF6.  Shadow is the same way.  His past is interesting enough you could make a game out of it, or you could have him decide to finally take in Relm and begin a new path from there.

Any other ideas for spinoffs?

FF6 sucked. I have no idea how you could get anything resembling depth out of it's trite plot and barely-developed characters. Leave it forgotten.

The charactesr in 6 were more interesting than any FF game I've played since.

And you know Shadow had a whole secret backstory right?

yeah, and it was stupid and underdeveloped, like the rest of the game! Dude, I beat that bitch twice, although I really only remember killing loads of Brachiosaurs and Tyrannosaurs to snag Economizers. :(

What a yucky FF. :(

Doug, I don't think we can be friends anymore.  :(

Srsly, I luuuurved me some FF6 back in the day.  Characters had charm and I enjoyed the story; this was pre emo-fication of FF characters that started with VII.

FF6 was totally emo, dude -- it was the beginning of the end. The stupid opera sequence; Celes going all MySpace kid; Terra in general; the outta-fucking-nowhere Rachel/Locke arc; OMG SHADOW; lengthy albeit wibbly cutscenes; WHERE AM GAU'S PARENTS?

FF5 was the last good FF. No plot; just JOB TWEAKIN' and STAT BOOSTIN' and TOUGH FUCKIN' BATTLES.

The characters were like twice the age of recent versions.  The characters had kids, while current versions starred heroes who were touching girls for the first time.

how could you tell? they were little big-headed weeble folk! I assumed they were all five years old and tryng too hard.

(FF5 had Galuf and Krile, if you wanna play that card. Tellah in 4 had his daughter.)

Tell through the instruction manual and story, ubless they were all babies having babies.  Cyan's concept art makes him look at least 40.

Most of the characters were dealing with a loss of family.

Locke: dying lover
Terra: Loss of parents
Sabin and Edgar: Loss of father
Relm: has a deadbeat dad
Shadow: IS that deadbeat dad
gau: abondoned by father
Cyan: loss of wife and children

Exceptions are Celes, Mog and the airship guy, and the two extra characters.
