Way to throw the BORESQUAD under the bus.

We really should come to a consensus on what the next BORESQUAD title will be.  I think Zero, Kestastrophe and I are going to pick up Modern Warfare 2, but it sounds like you're allergic to it.

as for MW2 - nothing against it, just no real interest in the modern war stuff (i'm going to rent it, though, so if it wows me i'll end up buying it)

Buying multiplayer titles on PC is pretty much a waste.

well, yes and no

smaller community nowadays, granted

but they tend to stick around, and not move on to the next big thing as quickly as console players do, so a B title is going to have a longer life in MP on PC than it would on 360 or PS3

Not really. If I buy a title on the PC, there are a handful of people - at best - that I can play with. And while they might stick around longer than console communities, if they're not online, who cares?  That's why I ended up playing L4D more on the 360 than my PC.

... Whereas I can play with my brother, friends, co-workers, boritos, etc. on the Xbox.

i can see that if you're not into public matches and just want to play with folks you know, but i've almost always had a good time playing MP games on PC with the genpop

i played BF1942 for over a year and never had a regular group

people will still be playing the new wolfenstein a month from now on PC, so i can hop in and out of a quick game here or there if i want, whereas it will be tumbleweeds on 360/PS3 within two weeks (if it isn't already)

no new maps confirmed:

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/21/no-additional-battlefield-1943-content-currently-in-development/

i'd bet money the PC version gets canned, there's no point in it with BFBC2 coming right on the heels of it

oh well, there's always BF1944 next year (you just know EA isn't going to turn down another opportunity to make money-for-nothing on a sequel)

that was an interesting night. Willco dropped his connection and Zero rage quit :lol

I played one game of Bad Company this morning, we are going to have a blast. When you're on the turret on the tank, the camera goes into a computer aiming view finder :drool. So awesome.

the players here are ridiculously skilled though, much moreso than 1943. Some guy in a helicopter basically had our entire team pinned down for a good five minutes. You are able to make squads, so we should do nicely. It controls almost identical to 1943, except there is no toggle for sprinting  :-\ You are able to knock down fences and doors with your melee, just like in 1943 :lol We're going to have alot of fun with this  8)
