Yeah, I play the hell out of my DS. I take it everywhere. I play it on the way to work, at work and at home. Right now I'm rocking Castlevania. I still got some butt whoopin' in Final Fantasy III to do. And I'm bound to get three to five more DS games added to my collection this holiday season. Best system out. Who needs a PS3?

Looks like the DS could become more successful than the original Gameboy or even the Playstation now in Japan, and get close to the PS2's worldwide numbers

-US: 25-30 million seems possible. 20mil at the lowest; it's already surpassed 10mil
-Europe: 20-25 million; already at around like 8 million or so
-Japan: 40 million; already past 12 million

Chris, stay away from stylus crap -- hell, most DS devs are now and are treating it like the GBA SP^2.

Advance Wars DS
Kirby: Squeak Squad
Mario Kart DS
Tetris DS

Note: none of these games require a stylus in any significant capacity. They're also the best games on the system.

I thought it was pretty funny that Portrait of Ruin dropped all the stylus elements from Dawn of Sorrow. Top screen map is the best thing that's ever happened to Metroidvania.

I need Advance Wars; I LOVED Fire Emblem and want more of that gameplay.

Haven't played a Castlevania since SOTN so I want to check out DoS, and later PoR. Basically whichever one I can find considering how few copies Gamestop/Walmart/etc got here in Michigan.

Naw, it's just DS. DS is what's out of the ordinary. PS2 is also still hugely popular. The interesting thing is, when I look at the top selling DS games, it's only a few titles that really seem to push the system into the stratosphere. It's the Brain-Age games, New Super Mario Bros., and Pokemon pearlywhitecum that are dominating everything.

Go read Mejilan's official Children of Mana thread over at GAF. It seems that the game is worthless if you don't have someone to play with.

The dumbasses at Square killed the Mana franchise years ago. They're actually trying to do something different with Heroes of Mana for the DS, so I hope that turns out good. I don't know wha tot think of SD4 for the PS2... $:-\$
